Polaris Production Partners is a leading independent oil and natural gas company operating in the Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Basin of Colorado.
Polaris was formed in 2017 to acquire a significant hydrocarbon resource on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. The company’s assets span approximately 140,000 net acres across Lincoln, Elbert and Washington Counties, Colorado. The company is focused on maximizing conventional production and organic development within the predominantly oil and liquids-rich southeast flank of the DJ Basin.
Ryan Sullivan has over 10 years of experience working in the oil and gas industry in direct land and A&D roles, along with business development experience alongside executives from top oil and and gas companies. Most recently, Ryan has served as Founding Member of Arbor Resources, an oil and gas consulting firm which has generated and successfully marketed over $80MM in oil and gas properties across the Mid-Continent and Rockies regions including non-op, minerals, and operated leasehold positions. Prior to Arbor, Ryan led the Land and Business Development group at Nighthawk Energy. He directed all land related transactions and contracts, covering an acreage position of 180,000 net acres and land related production obligations of 2,000 bopd. Prior to Nighthawk, he was in the Land and New Ventures/A&D group at Terracore, a Denver based E&P company, with holdings across the Michigan and Bighorn basins exceeding 275,000 net acres. He has been fortunate to work with many leaders across the upstream space, and has built a strong network among family offices and E&P companies throughout the A&D market. Ryan completed his certificate in Land Management from the University of Houston-Downtown, completed the Petroleum Super School at the Colorado School of Mines, and holds a B.S. degree in Physical Science with minors in mathematics and physics from Colorado State University.
Grant Farn serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Polaris Production Partners LLC. He has over 20 years of experience in energy and finance and is a CFA designation holder.
Prior to joining Polaris, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for two private equity backed E&P companies where he led the accounting and finance groups. In those roles he was integral to fundraising, management, acquisitions and divestitures. Grant developed and implemented successful budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and reporting tools.
Preceding his roles as CFO, Grant was a Director with Scotia Waterous where he provided M&A advisory services on over $20 billion of oil and gas asset and corporate transactions. During his tenure with Scotia, he was a key component in the firm’s U.S. and international growth and was integral as an investment professional in the firm’s $250 million private equity platform.
